UAE’s G42 Launches $2 Billion Hyperscale AI Data Centre Project in Vietnam
Abu Dhabi–based AI firm G42, backed by UAE’s sovereign fund and Microsoft, has proposed a $2 billion hyperscale data centre in Ho Chi Minh City alongside Vietnamese partners—FPT Corp, VinaCapital, and Viet Thai Group. Designed as an “AI factory,” the centre provides advanced cloud and AI infrastructure, creating thousands of high‑skilled jobs and boosting FDI. Ho Chi Minh City has submitted the proposal to Vietnam’s Prime Minister, targeting significant economic and digital impact.
